Robbie Wagner's Tournament Training Center welcomes you to a world of tennis in a
family atmosphere. We pride ourselves on treating all students, from our Pee Wee's
to our Tournament level players, with the utmost respect and support necessary for
the
advancement of your game. Come and be part of OUR TENNIS FAMILY and watch your level
rise.
We continue to emphasize the development of our young players with USTA trained
Coaches. Our 10 And Under Tennis Program is designed to start these players
rallying and playing right from the beginning in a new, exciting and fun filled
environment.
Through the use of softer balls of different sizes as well as modified court
size and net height, our youngsters are thriving. They are taking fuller swings
with racquets of the correct length. Slower balls,
smaller courts and lighter racquets enable our kids to have longer rallies. As
always, we put a premium on having fun and encourage our kids to love this wonderful
game.
Our Junior Tournament Training program is managed by several USPTA Certified and
USTA High Performance Certified coaches. Their goal is to develop young players into
the very best that they can be in all aspects of the game, affording them the best
chance
at being successful at the Junior Tournament level, ITF Junior Tournament level,
College level and Professional level. It is a comprehensive program that starts with
developing a student/private coach combination that
best suits the players personality and technical and strategical needs. Guided by
his or her private coach, the player will participate in the appropriate group drill
sessions in order to sharpen their skills and compete
against other players in both point play scenarios and match play. Each player
will also be required to do on site physical training with our highly trained
certified training
staff in order to maximize the players physical potential and prepare the player for
the rigors of tournament play. In addition we have a world renowned sports
psychologist that is ready and available for consultations
and often consults with the coaches if they have questions about a particular topic.
In order to fully be able to develop a tournament player various local and national
tournament matches will be attended, analyzed
and during(split sets) and after match coaching will be implemented. This is an
integral part of the developmental process because it gives the coach a better idea
how their student is competing, how their strokes
are holding up under the pressure and gives the coach/player a better idea on what
to work on during their private lessons. In turn this will make the developmental
process more productive. This comprehensive program
has had years of success developing tournament players and has sent hundreds to
various scholarship schools as well as Ivy league schools. Over 25 of our players
are significant ITF ranked juniors and a handful are
world ranked players. These statistics are important, but what cannot be quantified
is how much fun both the coaches and players have when on this journey. We consider
our program to be more than just tennis, we liken
it to a home with a big family where we help our family of players grow as people
and help them reach their goals.
